Our kids were in the front row as the President greeted the crowd. He shook all of their hands and even rubbed lucky Kalil on the head- he may never wash his head again!
Crossroads was invited to participate thanks to our amazing Trustee Steve Ricciardi of the Secret Service. It was a busy day and we learned a lot about the President, the Secret Service and Air Force One – for example there is NOT a bowling alley or a pool on the plane, but there is a pretty nice kitchen!
This truly was a moment that our kids and staff will remember for the rest of their lives – and even more – inspired them to think about themselves and their futures differently after seeing how many different people with different specialties support the Office of the Presidency. Yesterday may have sparked the flame for a future Press Secretary, Secret Service Agent or even President! |

On Monday, June 25th, a group of Crossroads Kids had the experience of a lifetime! They were invited to be part of a small welcoming committee waiting to greet President Obama on the tarmac when he arrived at Logan Airport that afternoon.
