Here a just a few of the things our parents have had to say about their families experiences in the Crossroads for Kids program.
I can't thank you enough for all that you have done for my son! I truly appreciate your presence in his life and all of the support that he gets from his Crossroads family. I believe the camp has absolutely put him track to success and has possibly saved his life. I think he will stand on your shoulders and offer other young people the support and generosity that he's received from you.
I really like that my daughter gets to learn new social skills that she can apply in everyday life, and most of all she just gets to be a kid for a while and have a good time. Camp is just a part of childhood that all children should be able to enjoy, thank you for helping me give that to her.
My son’s teachers strongly recommended that my son go to Crossroads and told me it was a very good program for both boys and girls. My son really had a lot of fun and really came out of his shell.
I enrolled my daughter at Crossroads for the first time this year because her cousin went last year and I wanted her to learn to believe in herself like her cousin did. She had so much fun and I can see a big change in her.
I sent my daughter to Crossroads overnight camp because I wanted her to learn to live in a community, learn how to make the right decisions independently and to understand that I won’t always be there to help her. I also really wanted her to learn how to make a difference. I think she did really well on those fronts this summer and she can’t wait to come back in the school year program.
Going to camp helps me give him things I can’t always do on my own, he gets to eat healthy food, have daily exercise and just have fun. And when he is at camp it gives me a chance to get some things done that I need to do, like doctor appointment, and even just take a nap!
